ZEN Japanese restaurant at The Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana – Review
June 12, 2013
The Zen Japanese restaurant has to be experienced when you stay here. This restaurant is very popular and sometimes there is a little waiting to get seated, but do not despair, there is a full blown lounge section for all parties to seat back and enjoy the drinks keep that coming as you wait. Once seated you get introduced to your group’s very own chef and waiter. The chef are well trained in Teppanyaki style of cooking. The menu is simple, it starts with fried rice and all the different meats, seafood and vegetables are cooked separately and joined in your plate. During the cooking the chef makes his performance like a juggler. One routine that I Participated and passed with flying colors is the throw of a piece of scramble eggs that you have to catch with your mouth.
The food, if you love oriental cooking is phenomenal. The beef, chicken, shrimp and calamari are cooked in teriyaki sauce to perfection. However, the desserts are equally delicious and I especially like the fried banana tempura with ice cream.
