One hot day at the Hard Rock Punta Cana Hotel Pool. The music was actually playing at the pool.. Shot in HD using a Sony HDX200V photo camera. This was a slow week for the hotel, which I intentionally picked. The week after I left the Hotel was packed. This pool has always some activity going on, from pool dancing to water polo games. The fact that there is Pool bar there, makes it even more popular. This specific bar serves snaks like burgers, hot dogs, fries and things like that. The drinks do not stop coming. I my self always try something different, but my favorite is the screw driver. That’s Vodka with orange juice in case you want to try it.
Many times the action moves to the beach. I loved the beach, during my stay there was some bad weather and the waves were above normal. I captured videos and will post in the video section on this site. Please come back here and post comments about your experience at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana.
The kids pool area is very well placed and contains three main areas for kids all ages to be happy to be there. There is a dual slide area that comes with a life guard. Kids walk up the stairs and use any of the two slides available. Adjacent to the slides is an area for younger kids wich has fun water sprays and constant rain drops. All with tunnels and mini slides.
There are so many pools in this resort that sometimes is overwhelming. All the pools are beautifully maintained and have easy access to lounge chairs. Every pool has access to some type of bar or snack area. There are also restaurants scattered throughout the resort that during the day act as buffet style dining.
Areas of pools are designated. Examples; Eden, for European style bathing, Isla Pool for Latin flavor and Woodstock pools for traditional Hard Rock sounds, Family Pool teen-friendly tunes, waterslides and activities for the under 16 set. The Library, the sound of silence.
The beach is very clean and the sand is white and silky. However, in this area the waves are strong and one must be very careful. The resort is conscious of this and is currently building a natural barrier-like reef to calm the waves.
This is great shot that I took from the pool. It captures that tropical feeling that one seeks from these type of resorts. The Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana definitely deliveres these type of views in spades.
I used the panorama setting of my Sony camera to take this amazing wide shot of a pool sections. There are so many pools in the hotel, that it is impossible to give a true representation of how awesome the pool setting is.
