The chefs are well-trained in Teppanyaki style of cooking. The menu is simple, it starts with fried rice and all the different meats, seafood and vegetables are cooked separately and joined in your plate. During the cooking the chef makes his performance like a juggler. There are tables that seat 11 people and surround the chef. He does his performance right in the center and a puts out a spectacle. The cooking is done meticulously and only helps to make your mouth water with anticipation.
One hot day at the Hard Rock Punta Cana Hotel Pool. The music was actually playing at the pool.. Shot in HD using a Sony HDX200V photo camera. This was a slow week for the hotel, which I intentionally picked. The week after I left the Hotel was packed. This pool has always some activity going on, from pool dancing to water polo games. The fact that there is Pool bar there, makes it even more popular. This specific bar serves snaks like burgers, hot dogs, fries and things like that. The drinks do not stop coming. I my self always try something different, but my favorite is the screw driver. That’s Vodka with orange juice in case you want to try it.
Many times the action moves to the beach. I loved the beach, during my stay there was some bad weather and the waves were above normal. I captured videos and will post in the video section on this site. Please come back here and post comments about your experience at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana.
The extreme center is basically composed of a basketball court, tennis court and many other activities. The center has many great activities that are not apparent unless you ask. These include roller skating, archery, ping-pong, bicycle riding, rock climbing and many others. I attempted to try most. Basketball was a favorite of our family and we played it multiple days during our stay. Some family members opted to go bicycle riding and others tried archery. None tried the rock climbing. I contemplated doing it but never got the nerve to do it. The archery was a lot of fun. At first you feel apprehensive, but once you get the hang of it, you are hooked and do not want to put the bow down. Now this setup is not professional in any way and is inviting. I notice that very few hotel guests took advantage of this amenity as most stay absorbing the main attraction; the sun, pool, beach and food. Getting a break from doing nothing is sometimes healthy and very enjoyable. I highly recommed trying some of the activities I mentioned if you stay at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana.
Eclipse Terrace is an outside area with an open bar and music. It is a great way to experience the nighlife while breathing fresh air and overlooking majestic views of the Hard Rock’s huge pools and water falls.
Located at the Hard Rock Hotel’s lobby, this indispensable place is a god sent for parents that need a little adult time away from the kids. Kids love it here as they have many things to keep them busy. The staff at the resort watch over them and the security is very good. Kids can not leave until parents sign them out.
Toro is an Argentinian style steak house. The ambiance and and food is top notch. I dined twice at this restaurant during my stay and I have to say my experience was incredible. The staff was very attentive and quickly responded to our requests.
The food is in my opinion the best at this resort. I now some might be inclined to also pick the Japanese restaurant which is also very good, but one thing that left me coming back was the tenderloin steak. All I can say is WOW!
The only thing keeping this gem from receiving five stars is their desert selection. I did not find the desert selection to live up to my expectations. However, dessert is not the reason people love this great restaurant.
